“For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in…Truly I say to you, in so much as you did anything for one of these, the least of My brothers, you did it for Me.” -Matthew 25:35-25:40
Lisa Muegge would argue it was never her vision, but God’s vision, to create the Feast of Plenty–a yearly Thanksgiving celebration, with a mission to be the hands and feet of the Lord, and to show the love of Christ by feeding and providing for those who need it most, right here in our community.
Since 2005, this “miracle on Apple Street” as Lisa called it, has provided thousands of meals–dine-in, carry out, and delivery–in addition to groceries, and other crucial supplies, to anyone in need in Hancock county and beyond. No questions asked–all are welcome to the event, and volunteers of all ages are encouraged to serve.
Lisa’s legacy of unconditional love and service lives on with the Feast of Plenty, as we honor her memory by providing food and comfort every Thanksgiving.
You are warmly invited to join us!.
The Lisa Muegge Feast of Plenty is held on Thanksgiving Day, every year, at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds and satellite locations as demand requires.
